CHALLENGE

How can we take a complicated informational website like 311 and make it easy to use, warm and community based?

DISCOVERY & RESEARCH

Surveys were completed by a total of 41 participants and competitive analysis was done on similar sites including 311, The Door and Task Rabbit.

PERSONAS

Based on the survey results and analyzing similar websites personas were created that would represent the target audience. The personas were divided into the categories of Helper and Seeker to best guide the user to have their needs met.

WIREFRAMES

The aim with creating our wireframes was to create a simple, easy to navigate layout that allows users to go directly to what they're looking for and be in contact with a real person. Not just a machine or given a random phone number. Usability tested proved that user found this website  easy to navigate, but users wanted to see more color choices and more appealing forms on the website.
